Why September Beats Any Other Month
As we covered last month, sun-exposed and tanned skin isn't ready for laser or more intensive treatments, which is exactly why we suggested using August to let things settle. By September, most of our clients are past that point, tans have faded and skin's back to its normal tone, so laser is properly back on the table.
It also just happens to be the month everyone's routines reset. School terms start, the summer social calendar quietens down, and most of us have a little more headspace and budget than we did in August. It's the same energy as January, minus the resolutions, and it's the natural moment to actually follow through on the treatment you've been thinking about since spring.
The Treatments That Need a Head Start
Here's the bit that catches people out: laser hair removal, radiofrequency skin tightening and microneedling aren't one-off appointments, they're courses, with sessions spaced several weeks apart to let your skin respond properly between visits.
Laser hair removal typically needs a course of sessions roughly four to six weeks apart to catch hair at different stages of growth. Radiofrequency skin tightening builds gradually, with visible firming improving over a course rather than overnight. If a course needs four to six sessions spaced several weeks apart, starting in October or November simply doesn't leave enough time to finish before Christmas parties and events start.
